After chatting with a friend a few weeks ago about a pair of earrings he would like to get for his lady, I almost interrupt and ask him where did he see them. Sometimes it is better to wait for one to finish their conversation before butting in and ask or comment on the topic.

This particular store in New Jersey sells these unique jewelry which is very rare. I ask and got the info that I wanted. One of the reasons behind me doing my research prior to buying is I really do not want to buy such special and unique earrings for my special lady and she never wears them.

A buddy of mine called the other day with really exciting news. Before I allow him to speak, I interrupted and say, “let me guess, you met a new girl?” to my surprise he said better yet, I think she is the girl of my dreams. He had an eighteen  white gold chain with diamond with a unique style of built on pendant for almost 20 years, a very nice and rare necklace. The first time I actually saw the necklace I was in awe based on it’s design. When I asked where he got it from he told me it was a hand me down from an older relative who lived in Columbus Ohio.

Recently I ask a buddy what is his reason of wearing the gold chain out against his shirt rather than against his skin. He replied by letting me know that by showing the bling, “jewelry” he gets the attention from certain girl he is trying to impress. Well Well I replied, this is interesting information because there are girls who I would certainly like to get there attention but with the gold?

Look at Jenifer Hudson right hand where she has the bangles dangling like you would not believe, is she looking for attention or is she drawing yours and my eyes closer to the styles, fashion and pricey set of jewelry?. I disagreed with him as I am not one to wear my chains on the outside of my garment. I will show my watch, ring, bracelet but the chain is reserved unless it is a hot day or I am on the beach shirtless.

His reply was, Dawg you been to New York? not lately I responded. He then shared with me about all the celebs who shop in New york at the finest jewelry stores you can find. He went on further to let me know that celebs have no problem dropping hundreds of thousands of dollars on jewelry in new york, I ask why new york he said because no one sleeps including the jewelry. Most of us saw the beautiful settings at the Emirates Palace during the festive season.  What could be wrong with such wonderful setting? I personally cannot see anything wrong at all. What we should all try and remember folks, we choose to buy what we want, need and the reverse goes for that as well. Many of us buy things we really do not need or want; we simply buy them because our friend s, families and strangers may have an item that you wish to have as well. We then find a way to get it.

A pine tree (Christmas tree) for example which we decorate with all sorts of decoration allowing it to feel as we do when we get dressed up with the finest of the diamond, gold & silver. It would be wrong and out of line for people to criticize you based on how nice you look however it will be wonderful when they compliment you. The ore from the earth just as the tree partially from that same ore is now embracing the beauty which they both acquire through time and effort.

My point is nothing was wrong with the beautifully decorated Christmas tree in Dubai. If the plans were to destroy the jewels used to decorate the tree, now I would say something is wrong. This was the first time anyone ever does something like this anywhere. We should see such display worldwide from now on especially countries that are wealthy and can afford the display. We humans are an everyday Christmas tree, for men & women it would be the earrings, nose rings, necklaces, different colorful lipstick (women) rings, watches, clothes that are unique & shoes.

Let us remember that the beautiful Jewelry that we wear daily originated from mother earth somewhere around the world. Next time we see such display, think of the love, the warmth, the memories, the reason, the plan, the peace, the comfort, the healing effect and the people who are all involve with such a beautiful thing.
